At Kangnam Pocha, located at 176 Drury Lane in the heart of London, prepare to embark on a culinary journey into the vibrant flavors of authentic Korean cuisine. This lively restaurant captures the essence of a traditional Korean pocha—think casual, bustling, and full of personality. You’re not just dining; you’re experiencing street food culture right in the middle of the city.

The menu at Kangnam Pocha is a treasure trove of tantalizing options that promise to satisfy even the most discerning palate. Start your feast with the Kimchi Pancake, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside—though a few diners have noted that it can be a touch heavy on the batter. For those craving heartier fare, the Bulgogi BBQ serves up thin slices of marinated beef soaked in a savory soy sauce, exemplifying the rich, tender taste that makes it one of the restaurant’s standout dishes at just £12. You can also indulge in the BBQ Ribs, which are marinated to perfection and showcase the delightful nuances of Korean flavors for £15.

For a comforting rice option, consider the Japchae Deopbab, which combines Korean glass noodles with beef and an array of vibrant vegetables atop rice for just £10. Veggie lovers will relish the Kimchi Fried Rice, a delicious medley of flavors aided by tender pork and a fried egg, all for the same reasonable price. And if that’s not enough to entice your taste buds, enjoy the Calamari Deopbab, a stir-fried calamari dish that’s light yet gratifying.

As you savor each dish, the warm and inviting atmosphere of Kangnam Pocha enhances your experience. The dining space is designed to reflect the lively nature of a Korean street food bar, making it perfect for cozy gatherings or casual dinners with friends. Diners have praised the restaurant’s friendly and attentive staff, who are eager to ensure that your experience is nothing short of amazing. However, it’s wise to be aware that Kangnam Pocha operates on a walk-in basis only, so you may encounter a line during busy hours—a small sacrifice for the deliciousness that awaits.

Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, Kangnam Pocha promises an explosion of flavor and a true taste of Korea. Each dish is crafted with care, delivering not only incredible food but also a vibrant dining experience that will keep you coming back for more. Had a fabulous meal at Kangnam Pocha in London. The kimchi pancake was perfectly crispy, the chicken bibimbap full of flavour, and the soy Korean fried chicken was amazing .The cucumber kimchi balanced everything beautifully. Staff are amazing. Quick service. A real gem for authentic Korean food, However the waiting time takes ages sometimes not every time

Kimchi pancake was too thick, heavy on the batter, very little kimchi. Soup ordered didn’t have a chilli sign on the menu so mistakenly ordered it so didn’t touch the soup. They were generous on the spare ribs though Bulgogi was flavourful, bibimbap was sizzling, jap chae was fragrant Expect small tight toilets but understandable for locations in London

The food was really tasty. Prices were actually cheaper than most Korean places I’ve been to. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Just a heads up they only accept walk-in no reservations, so the line can get really long and the wait takes a while.

Kangnam Pocha is one of the best Korean restaurants I’ve tried in London! The food is authentic, flavourful, and served in generous portions – exactly what you’d hope for in proper Korean comfort food. The atmosphere feels lively and welcoming, with a warm pocha (street food bar) vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and nights out with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, always happy to recommend dishes if you’re unsure. I especially loved the tteokbokki – it was absolutely delicious and tasted just like in Korea. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food, and the overall dining experience is excellent. If you’re craving authentic Korean food in London, Kangnam Pocha is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss!

Big portions! Best London meal I have . Great port back bone soup and spicy ox tail soup. I came twice during my stay in London, and best value. Only drawback is always a line

Found it accidentally, worth to queue up for the good food and one of the best is got discount if paying cash, oooohooo. Thanks for the good food and service. We ordered quite a portion for two, can't resist it. A spice Oxtails soup served with a bowl of purple cooked rice, KFC ( Korean sweet and chilly chicken nuggets), rice cake noodles, seafood pan cake and black beans noodles. Yum yum yum. Ps, we visited again today on 28th, the food are Great still. Thank you,Momo, the lady who service us,very friendly service and smile.

Definitely worth a visit! The food is very affordable in central London, especially the lunch special. Which I ordered a bulgogi bento. The kimchi pancake is also really good. Would definitely recommend that as well. My friend ordered pork belly and gave a good comment as well. Overall it is a great and filling meal. I arrvied at 12:00 therefore there isn't a queue. However the restaurant is already busy. But the service is still fast and good given that its busy. The staff is also very friendly and even complimented my friend's Beomgyu phonecase! If you have the time its definitely worth a visit! Plus the plates are super cute and I enjoyed the KPop music played.
